From windsurfing to waxing

Kids can join the windsurfers on West Wittering beach, or splash in the shallow lagoons at low tide. Or steam around Sussex on the ride-on railway. For grown-ups, call up Roses Beauty and Skincare for home facials and waxing. Or maybe soak up the views from Arundel Castle or the architecture of Chichester Cathedral.

Kids ahoy

Watch the wind- and kitesurfers on East and West Wittering beaches, or join them where the Blue Flag flutters proudly just minutes from Summer’s Lodge. Splash around in the shallow lagoons on the sandy flats at low tide. Fly your kite, bring your buckets and spades, climb the dunes, watch out for the wildlife.

Venture further to shingly Bracklesham Beach, with its café bar and gently shelving shore that’s perfect for swimming. Rent canoes, kayaks and surfboards from Shore in East Wittering. Or stay dry and venture out on horseback with Cakeham Stables or
Hunter’s Lodge Riding Centre.

Say hi to hundreds of animals, including giraffes, tigers and penguins, at Marwell Zoo, home to a 140-acre park, animal feeds, train and five adventure playgrounds. See 500 artefacts at The Novium Museum, all for free. Or steam around Sussex on the CDSME miniature ride-on railway.

Bounce yourself silly on trampolines at Air Hop. Dial up a Disney at Cineworld. Or clatter a few pins at Chichester Tenpin Bowling. Explore the heavens at South Downs Planetarium Science Centre. Or try some extreme putting under waterfalls and through desert islands, lagoons and caves at Jungle Paradise Adventure Golf.
