Big Days Out
The Old Stone Barns are just ten miles from the “Jurassic/Triassic” beach at East Quantoxhead. So pack up a picnic and paddle in the shallows of the shore.
There’s a handful of great pubs close to The Old Stone Barns. You can walk the short mile down the lane to the Farmers Arms in Combe Florey. A traditional pub with delicious food.
Spend the day at Cannington Activity Centre. High ropes, low ropes, climbing walls, they have it all, so your guests can take to the trees and get swinging!
Ever wanted to try your hand at woodland crafts? Make real hot chocolate and roast marshmallows on a roaring campfire? Or just hug some oak trees? Then head to Treborough Woodland and lose yourselves in the woods.
The West Somerset steam railway runs just 100m from the back garden. There is a public footpath that will take you to the lineside. You can wander down to picturesque Crowcombe Station or drive ten minutes to Bishops Lydeard and hop on one of the steam trains.
